Beauty and the eyes of the beholder?

Attempts to quantify human behavior into patterns can be useful in terms of understanding group behavioral trends, but it is a mistake to ume that such a pattern will be of any value at the individual level, as individuals we all have unique experiences and genetics that shape who we are and the attitudes that we develop. This means that what ever standards might constitute a social average there will never be a way of accurately predicting who any single person might consider beautiful or not.
