Posted a problem contractor on Angie's list... now being warned of slander?

We hired a contractor who did a crappy job and didn't finish the work. I submitted a report on Angie's List. I had given the contractor 6 months of opportunities to take care of it and informed him that if he didn't return and complete the work I would file with local contractors board and Angie's list. Today I received a legal letter stating that if I do submit a report I would be sued for slander and for economic and emotional distress. I filed the Angie's list report last week and the contractors board complaint a few days ago. I stated facts and was respectful, though contractor is a wapping idiot. What do you all think?
