What should I do! Have I messed up?

There is this guy I like and apparently he likes me too. He asked me for my number the day after christmas.He texed me twice and i have started four conversations. I think a have texed him too much, and i am afraid in-case he thinks I would be too clingy as a girlfriend.Should i stop texting him for a while, or not at all unless he texts me first.What should i do!
