When you give advice to people...?

Being blunt and strait forward causes resistance. When giving my children (25, 24, 16 ) advice, I use metaphors and ogy's to make my point. I like to hide my advice in conversation, using another person or situation so they don't see it as advice. When advice is aimed at someone they become defensive and the advice falls on deaf ears. So a little psychology goes a long way.
