How do I get to the Stockton, CA Amtrak Station by public transit?

I was thinking of taking either Amtrak then transfer to BART. But I checked Google maps and there is no public transit bus that takes me to Amtrak. However this girl at school (University of the Pacific) told me I can take a bus (I forgot the number) to San Joaquin...something something...LOL please help, the Oakland bay bridge will be closed on labor day weekend, and I want to go HOME...T^T
