I want to crochet a chervon scarf - how much yarn?

I want to make an average size chervon crochet scarf out of treble crochet, made with two colours. I would be making the scarf with DK weight yarn and a 4.5 mm crochet hook. Does anyone know how much yarn I would need for this project? or can tell me how to work this out?
